2022 Went A Little Like This - Wedding Photography 2022 Review

From The Cotswolds to Hertfordshire and even more locally to me, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Bertie (the very unoriginal name for my beetle) and I have travelled some serious miles this year. We’ve had many loud, terrible singsongs on our way home from some truly incredible weddings.

These blogs are often referred to as Best Ofs in the wedding industry. Instead I have selected a rather large number of images that sum up the year for you to scroll through.

The year began at Elmore Court and ended at Lapstone Barn in the cotswolds. With a wide range of new, established and garden venues in between. Including The Great Tythe Barn, Eastington Park, Kings Chapel and Rackleys.

Twenty twenty three is looking equally exciting with some familiar and some new venues for me to visit. Including a few of my wishlist venues in my diary too. Ashridge House and Clevedon Hall….. Eeeek!

Every wedding has been unique. I’ve seen lots more doggies at weddings since covid. I love this idea, pets are family and are our little babies, it only seems right that they should be at weddings, venue permitting, obviously. Couples have been injecting their personalities in to their wedding days by the bucketload. From a Drag Queen conducting the ceremony to a remote control BMW bringing one grooms nephew down the aisle, it has been an absolute blast.

Vibes (I really cannot stand that word!! I’m open for someone to give me an alternative), I often tell my couples that if they bring the fun, confident vibes then their guests will pick up on it and their wedding day will be filled with fun, laughter. This will show in your photographs too. My couples 100 % bought those vibes this year.

Being featured on two wedding blogs this year has been a real honour. But also awkward. I’m really not one for bragging or heavy sales. I don’t enter awards and very rarely submit to wedding blogs, as I have always found that people judging my work is a total confidence sapper. The only peoples opinions I care most about are my couples and their guests. The feedback this year has totally melted me and has often reduced me to leaky eyes. Making people feel comfortable and happy in front of the camera on their wedding day, has and always will be my priority.

I would like to thank all of the lovely wedding suppliers and wedding venues I have had the honour of working with this year.

But

The biggest thank you has to go to my couples and all of their families and friends.

Thank you for trusting me to tell the story of your wedding day and for making me feel so welcome at every single one.

Now lets see what 2023 brings us!!
